Anuta Networks Launches Network Services Controller for Cloud and Application Delivery

Anuta Networks, the industry’s first provider of network services virtualization solutions, today announced NCX Enterprise, an industry-first software solution designed to deliver agile and secure SDN benefits for medium to large enterprise campus, branch, retail and data center networks by leveraging both physical and virtual devices, across multi-vendor network infrastructures.

Addressing today’s ever growing operational complexity in IT organizations of all sizes -including the implementation, compliance and security challenges derived from mobility, BYOD and virtualization technologies – Anuta’s NCX Enterprise offers, for the first time, enterprise organizations and managed service providers (MSPs) with a single network services orchestration solution for maximum OpEx cost savings and higher business efficiencies.

Anuta’s NCX Enterprise is in deployment at the University of British Columbia, one of Canada’s top three universities and with an IT network supporting over 75,000 users. The University’s IT has turned to Anuta’s network services virtualization architecture to help deliver highly scalable, next generation network services securely and within minutes, through a self-served portal, to all of its thousands of geographically spread student and faculty users.

“We’re very excited to solve key enterprise challenges with a comprehensive SDN solution to deliver self-served network services across multiple architectures,” said Chandu Guntakala, founder, president and CEO of Anuta Networks. “We’re confident that our new NCX Enterprise changes the game of application delivery, campus, branch and retail networks, user and application policy management to drive the network for real services and business value.”

Anuta Networks’ NCX Enterprise is an innovative software solution that delivers complete network service orchestration for campus, branch and data center networks. The solution automates existing network infrastructures while integrating with self-service portals through REST APIs and also has a built-in self-service portal. Its NCX controller is deployed in the data center and the NCX remote agents are geographically spread and deployed closer to the network infrastructure.

For instance, at the University of British Columbia, Anuta’s NCX is automating service orchestration for a L2-L7 multi-vendor network, enabling controlled flexibility to all needed departments, and improving user satisfaction while resulting in significant OpEx savings. Also, Anuta’s NCX model-driven architecture simplifies support for new software versions, models and vendor devices, thus empowering the IT to continue to offer next generation network services to all students and faculty.

“Anuta’s technology will help us manage our entire infrastructure to a self-served network,” said Bob Macdonald at the University of British Columbia. “By working in our existing infrastructure, Anuta gives us controlled flexibility and security, and an easy-to-use network services solution which enables our IT department to design different types of network services and deliver them in minutes to thousands of our campus users.”

Anuta Networks is also announcing a key partnership with O2 Networks based out of Melbourne, Australia. O2 Networks will help market, resell and provide value added services to help customers in Australia and New Zealand in the implementation and delivery of Anuta Networks’ product portfolio.

“We are excited to add Anuta Networks to our solution portfolio. Anuta brings key software technology to deliver network services on multi-vendor networks,” said Euan Prentice, Managing Director at O2 Networks. “O2 Networks has the depth and breadth of technical and product expertise in delivering complex network services for large enterprises, services providers and public sector organizations in the ANZ region.”
