Smile cloud computing (undergraduate final yr project)

Hello all.

I am a computer science undergraduate currently in my final year. As my final year project, I am thinking of creating a cloud computing environment as SaaS, PaaS or IaaS but right now I'm still clueless as to how to get started and also the platform/simulation environment that I'm suppose to use in developing this project.

Any help or suggestion on this matter would be highly appreciated.
Tnx in advance.

If you are trying to create your own Cloud Service, I would look into wmware products below:

Cloud Computing Services with VMware Virtualization - Cloud Infrastructure

VMware vCloud Datacenter Services for Hybrid & Public Cloud Computing

VMware vCloud Express, Private Cloud Computing & Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)

Public Cloud Computing with VMware Virtualization, Hybrid Clouds, On-Demand Infrastructure

All VMware Products use the VMware vSphere Hypervisor (ESXi) Infrastructure.

If you don't want to do the hardwork of setting up the service, a vmware partner could also help.

Also, check out Openstack and xenserver for their cloud offerings which would allow you to setup cloud as a service type of solution.

It is very good idea. Cloud computing has grown significantly with the growth of the information technology sector. There are two more categories like hybrid and private. Hybrid is a combination of two or more clouds that can be public, community or private. It has come on a large scale from the last few years. In fact now cloud services have become one of the best affordable IT services.
