Post What model is used in resource sharing?

Hi,

I would like to know what is the model that is used by the VMM/Hypervisor for resource (e.g. Processor, RAM etc.) sharing between different Guest OS? Is it time slicing or some other technique to share the processor?

Also are the models followed by each provider e.g. VMWare, IBM, Dell, HP etc. different and what are they?

Thanks,
Vinod
