Exclamation RHEV-M Server Virtualization from POC to Clean Environment

Dear All,

We allowed Redhat to do a POC of RHEV-M ( Redhat Virtualization Manager) in our company. We have created 50 Virtual machines on around 20 servers and those VMs are extensively used by users.

Now we want to go from cleaner environment from POC. So, what the expert are suggesting us to recreate 50 VMs and then again reconfigure all the 50 VMs. But practically it is impossible as users themselves have configured the VMs and put in lot of efforts in configuring Linux as well as Windows VM.

So, can anyone suggest how to migrate these VMs to a cleaner and new environment ? This is urgent.

Default Acronis for RHEV

You may want to look at Acronis backup the VM's create your fresh environment and use it to restore the VM's to the new environment. The link is below, it is not that expensive and should be a rather quick process. They also have a trial that may get you what you need.

Default

Why don't you contact Red Hat support about this? They would simply tell you to export the VMs and import them into the new clean setup - very easy and straightforward procedure, well documented
