It also discusses fixing the VMware tools installation problem, but I don't get the same results as the author did. I'm still trying to find out how to make the .pl script understand that this distro doesn't have a /usr/lib....../7.4 subdirectory.

I tried also to install OpenSolaris on VirtualBox and got the same response. After handing in a bug report the reply to it from Sun was that the audio codec required a driver that wasn't available and there was no estimation as to when one would be available, if at all. This seems quite odd as OpenSolaris and VirtualBox are both owned by Sun and one would think that they would want their distro to be functional. Since VB didn't work the way it should anyway and it was free, I threw it and the OpenSolaris iso in the dust bin and emptied it. End of project.
