A new VMware ESX 5.1 Patch is available as of February 27, 2014.
Issues resolved in this patch:
ESXi host might lose network connectivity when the network heap memory, netGPheap, is exhausted, resulting from a known memory leak. In the vmkernel.log file you see entries similar to: “Heap: 2525: Heap netGPHeap already at its maximum size. Cannot expand”.
