Infinitely Virtual Upgrades Infrastructure System-wide, Boosting Performance, Reliability, Flexibility

Cloud Computing West 2013
Infinitely Virtual, a leading provider of Cloud Server computing services, today announced that it has completed a comprehensive system-wide infrastructure upgrade, an overhaul aimed at enhancing one of the industry’s most sophisticated virtualization environments.

With its innovative approach to virtualization, Infinitely Virtual provides aggressively-priced options that competitors simply cannot meet.

“Our latest infrastructure upgrade improves our ability to support small and midsize businesses, and to harness cloud solutions to advance their growth,” said Adam Stern, founder and CEO, Infinitely Virtual. “This top-to-bottom revamp means increased performance, reliability, and options for customers, so in enhancing our platform, we make it possible for every customer to share in those benefits.”

The multi-faceted Infinitely Virtual initiative encompassed upgrades to its VMware vSphere 5.1, vCloud Director 5.1 and vShield Manager 5.1 implementations, including new self-managed firewall options and support for VXLAN, VMware’s method for “floating” large numbers of virtual domains on top of a common networking and virtualization infrastructure. VXLAN boosts flexibility, streamlines network operations, and provides investment protection.

As part of the vShield Manager upgrade, Infinitely Virtual has rolled out larger and clustered Self-Managed Firewall Options with multi-interface support and enhanced load-balancing features. Small and midsize businesses have a choice of four options — Compact, Compact Clustered, Large, and Large Clustered – depending on the level of performance they need. Businesses using Infinitely Virtual’s vShield product can now have a clustered product that is self-managed – that is, they can configure it themselves.

Deploying Juniper Across the Board
Infinitely Virtual’s new routers and new firewalls are all sourced from popular virtualization hardware provider Juniper Networks. Infinitely Virtual installed Juniper’s MX series while super-sizing its existing SRX firewalls. Juniper’s network infrastructure solutions are designed to help small and midsize businesses migrate to virtualized applications rapidly and securely.

Juniper’s MX Series 3D Universal Edge Routers are designed for highly demanding carrier and enterprise applications. Providing industry-leading system capacity, density, and performance, the MX Series 3D is optimized for emerging architectures and services, and delivers the capital efficiency, service innovation and agility, and operational scale and maturity needed for cost-effective next-generation network deployments.

Juniper’s SRX Series Services Gateways are high-performance network security solutions that pack high port-density, advanced security, and flexible connectivity, into easily managed platforms. These versatile and cost-effective solutions support fast, secure, and highly-available, data center and branch operations, with unmatched performance while keeping the total cost of ownership low.

“Easy to tailor and fully scalable, Juniper’s high-performance network infrastructure gives us the network security solutions we need to protect our services, and to expand our offerings to new and existing customers,” Stern said.
