Like our interstate highway system, Federal government IT networks are critical to commerce and vital for day-to-day operations – yet both are aging, outdated, and increasingly insufficient. While there have been countless Federal government technology directives pushing agencies to modernize software and IT processes, little attention is given to the infrastructure behind the solutions. Like highways and mass transit enable factories and houses, how can Federal networks be a force for a modern government rather than a basic set of connections?
