RightScale Cloud management for agile development and testing

Although it is designed for developers, QA teams and production support to get started using the cloud, RightScale found that the large enterprise customers that they were bringing to cloud computing (Zynga, Ely Lilly, Johnson and Johnson, ESPN, PBS and Sony Music) were not just running their business in the cloud, they were also gaining huge benefits by utilizing cloud resources throughout the application lifecycle. They found that, based on customer surveys, the second most requested type of usage for cloud computing is development and testing resources. This is a great on-ramp for organizations to start using cloud resources that are not ready to deploy production services to the cloud. Most importantly cloud driven development solves a real business problem by giving agility back to the developer by making it easier to allocate resources, duplicate assets and get to market quicker.
