Telefonica – Intel® Xeon® processor 5600 series
Telefonica in Spain is one of the world's leading integrated operators in the telecommunication sector, providing communication, information and entertainment solutions. It decided to launch cloud-based services to provide small and medium enterprises with an IT infrastructure via a monthly subscription model. To enable this, it turned to the Intel® Xeon® processor 5600 series and Cisco Unified Computing System to provide the compute foundation for these cloud-based virtualized services.
